In the late nineties, the Cecchi family has started a new challenge. After careful evaluation of the territory has crossed the border from Tuscany to undertake a path of exploitation of another important Italian vine: the Sagrantino di Montefalco.

This grape is undoubtedly one of the best examples of perfect, deep integration between vine and land and the wines made from this combination have features not reproduced elsewhere.

Queste le motivazioni dietro all’acquisizione di Tenuta Alzatura, azienda agraria situata nel cuore dell'Umbria, all’interno della denominazione del Sagrantino di Montefalco. I due vigneti, separati, si estendono per una superficie totale di 18 ettari.

La natura dei terreni, il materiale utilizzato per l'impianto e la cura con la quale vengono seguite le varie fasi vegetative della vite prima e quelle produttive poi hanno determinato le condizioni ideali per la nascita di vini di grande spessore e di forte tipicità varietale.
